Our original vision for Tacotarian always consisted of giving back to our community. However, in the beginning we didn’t know exactly how we would accomplish that. Once we participated in the Veganuary dinning month though, it just became a thing.
During the month of January we partnered with Vegans Baby and more than 30 other restaurants and created a special menu with new menu items. It was such a hit we decided every month moving forward we would have a new item and 20% of those proceeds would benefit a charity that we feel passionate about.
So what charities are important to us? Well, a lot! But specifically ones that involve animal welfare, human rights, civil rights and the environment. Since January we’ve partnered with a number charities and donated more than $1,000 dollars to help humans and animals in need. Giving back to our community feels great, and for our customers it’s as easy as trying new menu items.
In addition to our monthly donations to charity partners, we also regulary donate food for events to groups like Rockin’ 4 Rescues, No Dogs Left Behind and others.
We know it’s important to stand for things you believe in and we will continue to so. Here is a list of the donations we’ve made thus far. Keep in mind the amount of the donations is dependent on sales so keep ordering those specials so we can keep donating more and more!
